Halal Nduja: A Bold and Flavorful Spread with a Middle Eastern Twist

If you’re a fan of bold flavors and versatile condiments, this Halal Nduja recipe is about to become your new go-to. Not only does this recipe deliver on taste, but by choosing ethically sourced ingredients—like Holy Land Dates Olive Oil—you’re supporting small-scale Palestinian farmers and contributing to a more equitable global trade system.

This halal nduja boasts a smoky, spicy kick complemented by the subtle sweetness of honey and the fragrant warmth of cumin and fennel. The olive oil ties it all together, creating a silky texture that’s perfect for spreading or cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 450g sucuk (remove casing and cut into rough pieces)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 150ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Method:

1. Remove the casing from the Sucuk and cut into rough pieces.

2. Add the Sucuk into a food processor along with all other ingredients.

3. Begin blending, gradually adding the olive oil. Start with 100ml and add the remaining 50ml while blending to ensure a smooth, consistent paste.

4. Use as a cold spread into sandwiches, or fry gently in a pan to use with eggs, pasta or any other creations!
