Meet Layla, a yoga teacher in Palestine
Layla lives in Birzeit, in the hills of Palestine, where she’s raising three daughters as the main earner for her family. She studied sociology, earned a master’s degree in gender and development, and has spent years helping other women in her community build their independence. Candles came into her life through yoga. Layla found their soft light brought a calm to her sessions that she wanted to hold onto, so she learnt to make her own, step by step. After connecting with local Palestinian beekeepers, she began pouring hers from natural beeswax.

How we source them
From Birzeit, Palestine
Bringing these candles from Palestine to the UK is currently very costly. Due to the impact of war and the difficulties Palestinians face when exporting internationally, shipping costs have doubled per candle.
We want our customers to understand that this price reflects the real cost of getting the candles here which is £21.99. We are not making any profit on thse candles and our aim is to sell as many as possible so we can support Layla and her family directly.
